Tues 24 May 2011 was our last blue bin pick up day but as you will remember our bin had went for a walk and never returned so we have been using our neighbours bins once out and ready to go using the spare space. Lochlin came up with this nice idea of using his shopping trolley to carry the items to the bin and with my help putting each item into the bins individually. He knows where the recycle bins are in the cupboard in the kitchen so now he just opens the cupboard and pours items into his trolley waiting to go out and bin it. I think it is great that children Lochlins age are learning about recycling and the art of re-using things at a young age as I just remember touching on it a little at primary school and that was it really.
My husband laughed at me Thursday past as most Thursdays we were late home and Lochlin was over night at Nannys I did a little dance as my neighbour was talking to me going into the close – MY BLUE BIN HAD ARRIVED. yipppppppeeeeeee : )
