Above are my wee maps of how to get around the orange and lime routes of Perthshire Open Studios 2011. I cannot wait till tomorrow morning when I meet up with Yvonne and I guide her around my old country roots and get to see grreat art along the way. The Orange route we are planning to see those in Blairgowrie and Alyth and on the lime route those in Coupar Angus and Burrelton. It should be a lovely girlie arty day out.
Orange Route –
- 7. Primrose Hill Studios, Mill of Fyall Cottage. Alyth.
- 8. Toutie Studios, Lower Bank St. Alyth.
- 9. Buy Design, 19 Airlie St. Alyth.
- 12. Cloth, Paper, Stone. Pinewood, Forebank Rd, Rattray.
- 18. Di Lana Designer Knitwear, The Shion, Woodlands Rd, Rosemont.
- 21. Mary Duncan and Diana Smith, Miramichi, Golf Course Rd, Blairgowrie.
All going well my plan is to leave Perth and head through BridgeEnd and take the Guildtown road and before getting to into Blairgowrie turn right down Golf Course Road and go and see 21 and 18 then head up the Coupar Angus Road to Alyth to see 7, 8 and 9 and prehaps have lunch. Then head back to Blairgowrie stoping in Rattary to see 12 and if Yvonne would like we could have a wee pit stop in Blairgowrie if its nice.
Lime Route –
- 29. The quarto Press, Beech Hill House, Beech Hill Rd, Coupar Angus.
- 30. Roz Arno-Button and Ros MacDonald, Potting Shed Studio, Easter balgersho, Coupar Angus.
- 31. Eggshell & Chalk at the Bothy, West Balgersho Farm, Coupar Angus.
- 32. Val Barr, Myrtle Bank, Off Station Rd, Wooodside.
- 33. Brunty Beads, Brunty Mill, Burrelton.
Then from Blairgowrie head to Coupar Angus along the A923 and visit 29 and 30. Then head towards Burrelton and see 31, 33 and 32. If we have time and aren’t too tired I thought we could head to Abernyte be will wait and see what Yvonne says.
Unfortantely just got a text from Yvonne and tomo is off as her husbands car is sick and he has to take hers to work. Silly silly car – it must have been all those trips to the studios last night. 🙂
